Sam grew up in Park City and is passionate about Utah and all the amazing opportunities for adventure here. Sam graduated in 2017 from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in psychology. When she graduated, she took an opportunity to move to Mexico and start a hostel with a partner. Sam spent four years exploring a new culture and community while living in a group-setting with people from all over the world and from all walks of life. She taught English to the local community and rescued cats and dogs off the street, giving them loving new homes. When Sam was younger, she attended a transition program very similar to ROOTs. The experience Sam had at the program changed her life and perspective and continues to be a positive and formative experience. Sam feels honored to now be working with young women who have struggled as she did and who now have the same opportunity to change their lives.
