Our Community

ROOTs Transition is located in Park City, Utah. The beautiful Rocky Mountains of Park City provide a spectacular backdrop and a natural setting for healing. Connecting with the outdoors helps our clients reset their lives and enjoy the many benefits of disconnecting with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Park City offers a myriad of adventures to explore. Clients have access to skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and hundreds of hiking trails. Prioritizing exercise and physical well-being is a big part of maintaining one’s mental health. With such a variety of options, clients can find new, fun ways to be active while at ROOTs.

Our environment is trauma-informed and a place of mental and physical healing. Our culture is built on agency, community, and curiosity, which allows our clients to find themselves through deeper trauma work and understanding. Clients will occupy their days by gardening, doing yoga, spending time in nature, and engaging in therapy and schoolwork, while being an active part of a healing community. As a community, we will support each other through therapy and in our daily lives as we cook together, garden together, and heal together.

Anxiety and depression in teenagers can leave them feeling hopeless, defeated, or not good enough. Through adventure activities in Park City, clients can gain confidence in themselves. Each experience helps shape client’s perspectives of themselves and grow within their self-assurance and sense of resiliency.

Park City also offers a vibrant art and music scene for clients and their parents to enjoy. With the ability to engage in both the great outdoors and the city life, clients can find new things to do and discover their interests.
