Maddie has her bachelor’s degree in English writing with a minor in social justice and legal studies. She is passionate about working in mental health and has been inspired to do so ever since her mom created her own nonprofit, i understand, that works to reduce the stigma around mental health and suicide. She has found immense healing working with others, hearing their stories and being able to share a bit about hers. Prior to ROOTs, she worked at an addiction treatment for adults and is excited to foster her career in working at residential treatment centers.
