Emma Johnson

Fitness Instructor & Transportation Coordinator

Emma is a Southern California transplant currently enjoying the Utah mountain air and soda shops on every corner. She has a bachelors in advertising from Brigham Young University, and worked in marketing for years before transitioning to mental health. Emma planted her own roots in adolescent mental health when a marketing client designated her to be a public speaker for high school assemblies and community events. While managing a girls facility during the pandemic, Emma saw a need for clients to stay physically active in spite of local facilities being closed. She sought nationally accredited certification in fitness instruction, and developed an in-house Barre and Pilates program for the center.

This experience led her to ROOTs as a fitness instructor. She is passionate about fostering both physical and mental wellness among clients, allowing her to pair fitness instruction with the role of transport coordinator. Planning and executing important events in each client’s life gives her the opportunity to develop meaningful client relationships and offer interpersonal support through their journey.
